For almost twenty three years I have co-owned a brick and mortar business specializing in recognition products. Award & Sign, LLC serves businesses, schools and universities, and sports; among others. Our abundant showroom and catalog offerings provide thousands upon thousands of effective promotions and recognition ideas.
In 2008 we developed a unique line of perpetual (multi-plated) plaques called Honors Recognition Products. One of the lines, Plaque Magic, is the only do-it-yourself perpetual plaque on the market. It started out as a simple plaque, like the blue one below. But, as time passed, we developed more interesting graphics and started customizing the backgrounds, like The Jave Cafe.

We recognized the vividness in color and detail provided through the dye-sublimation process. We wanted to offer dye-sublimation to anyone wanting color in their awards. In addition, we could bring in any kind of image either as a graphic element or an entire background - pictures of buildings, people, food…anything! How fun!
Our team started dreaming about the opportunities. One suggestion led to another…and ultimately to SendaPlaque.com.
This was and is a “team” effort. Our collaborations have taken us from some pretty bad ideas to some darn good ones. If it weren’t for our team we would not have such a dynamic site. This team includes our in-house creative’s Alison Kauffman, Amy Gill and Song MoChon. We are forever grateful to our development team, Elevation Creation led by Daniel Montano. Jesse Wallace, the lead developer continues to be our “make it happen” guy. If it weren’t for Keith Hagen, our internet strategist from Brotaich, we would probably be headed down a way different path. Jeff Prager’s genius gave me insight how to create a living business plan.
